All girls from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 8 are taught the fundamentals of music and singing. Music history appreciation is introduced through special projects. There are two school concerts, conducted by the music teacher, one at Christmas and one in the spring.
All girls from Kindergarten through grade 8 take one period of gym class each week. Emphasis is placed on teamwork and sportsmanship. Girls learn the importance of maintaining a healthy body as well as a healthy mind. Girls learn age-appropriate aerobic exercises and sports games.
A school nurse is available for any medical situations that may arise. In addition to tending to immediate medical needs, the school nurse maintains health cards and ensures that all students are current with immunizations. She also conducts sessions with each class on proper hygiene, good nutrition habits and other health issues.
