Community Events
The faculty and administration at Notre Dame Academy encourage participation in all academic events sponsored by community leaders and local media. Notre Dame Academy girls have been represented at or participated in:
- Staten Island Borough Science Fair
- Readers are Leaders
- Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth
- Community and Archdiocesan Essay Contests
Choir
Girls in the third through eighth grades who enjoy leading song at liturgical and celebratory events may join the school choir.
Bell Choir
This unique offering provides the girls with a background in music and teamwork. Since each bell ringer only holds two bells, the girls learn how to work together to make beautiful music.
Reading Circle Book Clubs
Students in Grades 3 – 8 may participate in an age-appropriate book club. The girls enhance their appreciation of literature through discussion and activities related to the book the club is reading.
Stock Market Game
Students in Grade 7 and 8 learn how to research, invest and trade stocks in a virtual portfolio.
