Applications are available at the Open House and the application deadline is December 1. Scholarship semi-finalists are notified in their letter of acceptance and invited for an interview as the last component of the process.

Leadership: Since NDA is preparing young women for global leadership, opportunities abound to challenge every student to engage in learning and to exercise leadership in and outside the school community. Students serve with adults on Middle States Planning Teams, the Annual Fund Steering Committee, the Ophelia Project Task Force Committee and National Leadership Programs.

Ophelia Project: NDA is currently the only Pre-K to Grade 12 school, the only all-girl school and the only school in the New York area to be a part of the national Ophelia Project. This project is dedicated to creating a positive set of normative behaviors which ensure a safe learning environment for all students through training for students, parents and administrators.
Community Service Program: The Service Program is integral to the mission of NDA. Students are invited to become agents of societal transformation through service to others. It is a coordinated effort to serve local, national, and global communities. It is these social concerns that will teach the young women to integrate service as a lasting component of their lifestyle.

Technology: A four-year computer/technology program designed to prepare students for today's technology and the technology yet to come. Technology is integrated into the curriculum and is not confined to the computer lab. The goal encompasses integrating technology into many aspects of school life, preparing students for the technology of the 21st century.
Questia - The internet based research tool, Questia, is available to all students, provides resources of books and articles to complete projects and assignments.
SAT Prep: Every student has access to the College Board Program for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparation. Math and Verbal skills are programmed into the regular school day schedule for 11th Graders.
Travel Program - NEW! Students are exposed to cultures of other countries and is open to 10th through 12th grades.

Theater/Arts Programs: Visual, Musical and Theater Arts are an integral part of the extensive programming available at NDA. The Art Program provides students with the opportunity to complete four full years of art, leading to the completion of their Art Portfolio in 12th grade. Musical opportunities are part of curricular and co-curricular offerings. The Theater Program is a vibrant expression of many artistic gifts of our students.
