NDA Recognized by Michael's Cause

Today Robert Capolongo and his 13-year-old son Michael Capolongo presented a plaque to recognize Notre Dame Academy students past and present for their dedicated service and support of Michael's Cause. Michael's sister Victoria was also present to support her brother and to recognize our students.

Michael’s Cause is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the leading fatal genetic childhood disease worldwide. It affects 1 out of every 3,500 infant males. DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that strengthens muscle fibers and protects them from injury.
