Nnenna Podkalicki has over 15 years of teaching experience working in private and charter schools throughout New York City. She joined the Notre Dame Academy staff two years ago as a 5th-grade teacher.  Mrs. Podkalicki graduated from St. Peter's High School, received a Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University, and a Master's Degree in Education from the College of Staten Island. She is currently pursuing her post-Masters Certificate in School-building leadership. Her extensive experience in multiple educational settings serving diverse student populations has allowed her to impact students positively and build lasting relationships with teachers and families. As the Assistant Principal of Notre Dame Academy, Mrs. Podkalicki looks forward to using her technology skills and current pedagogical knowledge to work in partnership with all Notre Dame Academy stakeholders to improve student learning, support teachers, and to connect with the Notre Dame Academy Community.

As a graduate of St. Peter’s Girls and a current Notre Dame mom of two beautiful girls, Mrs. Podkalicki has experienced firsthand the benefits of an all-girl education. She is a champion of the Notre Dame mission-to educate young women and to help empower them to be an agent of their own transformation and the transformation of society.
