Victoria Chicolo

Victoria Chicolo is the fifth-grade homeroom teacher at Notre Dame Academy and teaches fourth and fifth grade mathematics, science and religion. Her previous teaching experience has been in the field of mathematics and includes the Common Core Algebra I Regents course.  She is an alumna of Notre Dame Academy and holds a dual Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Digital & Studio Art.  Ms. Chicolo is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education at the College of Staten Island.  She is committed to professional development and has earned a certificate in Responsive Classroom training, a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and classroom management. 


Ms. Chicolo has a thorough knowledge of technology as a tool and resource for learning.  As a teacher, she incorporates various programs, websites, and other software to heighten student interest and differentiate instruction.  Ms. Chicolo is extremely passionate about her students and motivates them to work to their fullest potential. She strives to create a safe and positive classroom environment where students can express themselves freely and have pride in all of their accomplishments. 


Ms. Chicolo is grateful to be a member of the Notre Dame Academy faculty and have the opportunity to provide students with the education, skills, and sense of empowerment that her NDA teachers have given her.  Being on the campus of Notre Dame Academy gives her a feeling of warmth and comfort, a gift she wishes to give to her students.
