Message from the HS Principal

Notre Dame Academy is the premier institution providing a liberating education for girls on Staten Island for the last 120 years. It is a true honor to lead the high school, a place that shaped me during my most formative years.
As a proud member of the Notre Dame Academy Class of 1995, and a student from Kindergarten through 12th grade, I can personally attest to the profound impact this community has had on my life. The Congregation of Notre Dame and the broader NDA family instilled in me the values of strength, empathy, and a deep awareness of others.
We were consistently encouraged to look beyond ourselves—to consider how our actions influence those around us and to lead with compassion and purpose. I am confident that these core beliefs continue to flourish in each of our graduates, just as they did in me.
I look to St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, our foundress, who tirelessly believed in the education of young girls. At Notre Dame Academy, we offer a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that challenges students to grow intellectually and prepares them for success in higher education. Core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Studies are complemented by our Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors programs. In addition, students have access to a wide array of elective courses in areas like Art, Business, and Foreign Languages, allowing them to explore their interests and develop new skills.
Beyond the classroom, we are proud to offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities that reflect the varied interests of our student body. Whether it's joining one of our athletic teams—such as soccer, basketball, or swimming—or participating in clubs like Forensics, NDA Players, our Performing Arts team, or Good Morning Gators, our daily news show, students are encouraged to get involved. These opportunities help foster leadership, collaboration, and personal growth, ensuring there is something for everyone.
I invite you to imagine yourself—or your daughter—thriving in the halls of Notre Dame Academy, surrounded by a community that nurtures curiosity, compassion, and confidence. Here, girls are empowered to lead, to serve, and to discover their full potential. We would be honored to welcome you into the NDA family, where tradition, excellence, and a deep sense of purpose continue to guide us forward and provide the young women of Staten Island a liberating education.
