Description
Notre Dame Academy seeks to hire a dynamic and dedicated Instructional Technology/STEM Teacher to support and enhance the integration of technology and STEM education in our classrooms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging digital tools to empower students and faculty while fostering an engaging and rigorous learning environment in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This role involves working closely with administrators, faculty, and staff to develop innovative digital learning strategies, provide technical support, and ensure the effective use of technology to enrich student learning and engagement. The Instructional Technology/STEM Teacher will also play a critical role in promoting STEM education and inspiring students to explore careers in these fields.

Responsibilities:

•STEM Instruction: Teach engaging STEM lessons and projects that align with the school’s curriculum, fostering creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.

•Technology Integration: Collaborate with teachers to integrate educational technology into the STEM curriculum and across other subject areas.

•Technology Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support for faculty and staff on educational tools and platforms, helping them incorporate technology effectively in their classrooms.

•Classroom Technology Management: Manage and troubleshoot classroom technology, ensuring that all devices and tools operate smoothly during lessons and activities.

•STEM Curriculum Development: Assist in the development and implementation of STEM curriculum, including hands-on projects, coding, robotics, and other innovative learning experiences.

•Resource Selection and Implementation: Assist in selecting, implementing, and evaluating new digital resources and STEM tools to support the curriculum and enhance student learning.

•Digital Literacy and Equity: Promote best practices in digital literacy, ensuring equitable access to technology and STEM opportunities for all students.

•Collaboration: Work with administrators and faculty to create and implement strategies that promote interdisciplinary learning, integrating STEM concepts and technology in all academic areas.

Requirements
•A commitment to the mission and values of an all-girls Catholic education.
•Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Education, Science or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
•Certification or experience in teaching STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
•Experience in K-12 education, with a strong focus on integrating technology and STEM education in the classroom.
•Proficiency in educational software, learning management systems, and hardware management.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and parents.
