Laura Parisi

Laura Parisi earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from St. Bonaventure University.  Her first counseling position at Catholic Charities provided her with the opportunity to assist families and to work with children of all ages. After receiving a Master of Science in Education in Counseling Degree from Fordham University, Ms. Parisi worked for several years as a counselor for the Archdiocese Drug Abuse Prevention Program, before becoming part of the Notre Dame Academy Guidance Staff in 1995.  During her tenure, Ms. Parisi has worked with all grade levels and has found fulfillment in seeing the growth of students from 9th grade orientation to graduation day.  She has helped to facilitate several extracurricular clubs and events, including Amnesty International, Asian Culture Club, and International Night. She has also participated in service trips with the students, such as the Urban Challenge and Habitat for Humanity.  Ms. Parisi is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in NYS and has earned certificates from the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists. She has a passion for helping people to find resilience within, to overcome obstacles and to reach their full potential.
