The 2019-2020 school year kicked off yesterday with our Opening of School mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Not only does this mark the start of a new school year, but also the 400th anniversary of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, founder of the Congregation de Notre Dame.
Our history is so important in defining our future. Our alumnae are responsible for the preservation of memories, stories, and priceless pictures of years passed. To honor our alumnae, we invited 47 women, who now continue the tradition with their daughters, to our 3rd annual Legacy Breakfast.
Each alumna, proudly wearing a pin designed to acknowledge their importance at NDA, processed into the morning mass with their daughter. Breakfast followed, which allowed them to share their experiences both as alumnae and mother.
We are proud to say this is the largest group of alumnae, who are also current parents, we have had to date. It was a beautiful day, enjoyed by all!
